Quartzsite Council Member Beverly Cunningham dies SEE ECV PAGE 8 E Clampus Vitus install plaques Quartzsite, AZ- Members of the Ancient and Hon- orable Order of E Clampus Vitus® (EVC) installed a commemorative plaque Saturday, October 16, 2021 on the site of Tyson's Well Stage Station Museum. The all-men organization is known for a little absurdity but preserving history is the serious part of what they do. 121 members of the Lost Dutchman 59117+4 showed up in Quartzsite for a weekend of fun and install- ing the newest monument in Quartzsite. The group had previously installed two monuments at Hi Jolly Cemetery, honoring Hi Jolly and Buck Connors. ECV boasts more than 20,000 members with chapters in California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Oregon and Colo- rado; in both California and Nevada it is the largest historical organization dedicated to preserving West- ern and mining history, having placed more than 1,300 plaques in hundreds of historically interesting locations throughout the West.
