Best Breakfast/Best Greek Cuisine
Zorba's Gyro
2919 Raeford Road and 3114 N. Main St., Hope Mills
910-484-1010 and 910-424-3332 or www.Zorbasgyro.com
Tommy Frangakis settled in Fayetteville in 1961, having emigrated to the
United States from Greece three years earlier. Zorba's Gyro opened its doors in
1974, and the rest is history — family history, that is. Tommy's son John contin-
ued alongside his father beginning in 1996, and took over daily operations when
his father retired.
It might surprise visitors that Zorba's has Fayetteville's Best Breakfast and
Greek Cuisine, two very different categories. But locals are anything but
shocked.
Zorba's breakfast menu boasts everything from three-egg cheese omelets to
country ham biscuits to blueberry buttermilk pancakes. Come back for lunch
or dinner for Zorba's famous slow-roasted lamb or beef gyros, great with
authentic tzatziki sauce, or try a hot sub. Customers are especially fond of
the Wednesday special, Zorba's spaghetti. For dessert, Zorba's offers Marina's
brownies, cheesecake and traditional Greek baklava — a pastry made of phyllo
dough and crushed nuts soaked in honey. It doesn't get more "local" than
breakfast at Zorba's.

For almost 20 years, Blue

From its humble start as
a small tapas menu to the
variety found today, Blue
Moon has been known for
its craft food selection and
hip environment.
Being named the Best
Business Lunch is not a
surprise for the restaurant,
and the owners and staff of
Blue Moon are excited to
be honored.
They noted that they
appreciate everyone who
voted to give them this honor, and want to thank their customers who have con-
tinued to support the restuarant since its opening.
