Alumni Corporation Financial Report The corporation remains strong financially. Since 2014, we have repaid $1.3 million of debt from renovating the chapter house. Last year, we achieved our longtime goal of acquiring the Clocker family property. Our financial health allowed us to acquire the property swiftly at a reasonable price by borrowing additional debt to fund the purchase. Today, our long-term liabilities consist of: • ~$293,000 owed to Roundbank • ~$385,000 owed to Lambda Educational Foundation New gifts would significantly help Lambda. Deleveraging our balance sheet saves interest expense, helps keep collegiate chapter rent competitive to aid in recruiting new men to AGR, and covers maintenance and incremental improvements for our chapter house. The continued strength and success of Lambda depends on brothers of all ages generously giving their time, talents, and treasure to create an elite fraternity (#RTB, Ski-U-Mah, Go Gophers!). Please give however and whenever you can. You can donate online at umnagr.com or via mail to P.O. Box 8221, St. Paul, MN 55108. Jack Sallstrom #1643 Alumni Corporation Treasurer jsallstrom@outlook.com Chapter House Over 150 men have called 2060 Carter "home" since Lambda's chapter house renovation in 2014. Our home is in good repair, but some systems are showing their age. A spring 2021 pipe leak damaged the House Director's Suite and the Game Room below. We plan to update flooring and paint in some areas this fall, and a section of the flat roof is being replaced (it was not replaced during the renovation as it was in good repair at that time). The city also plans to reconstruct Cleveland Avenue in 2022, so if you're driving near campus you'll notice major construction on the street alongside our chapter house next spring/summer. Creighton Sauer #1833 VNR Operations & House Manager Membership Development The highlight of the spring semester was Brotherhood Week. We enjoyed one another's company through events such as a steak dinner, and we sang some great AGR songs that I'm sure many alumni remember. We're always looking for guest speakers to share their professional development, careers, and personal stories. If you're interested, please contact me at thom7288@umn.edu! Box 442100 Lawrence, KS 66044-2100 Address Service Requested OUR PURPOSEFUL MISSION Since 1917, Alpha Gamma Rho's Lambda Chapter at the University of Minnesota has been defining what true brotherhood means. Honesty, fairness, hard work, and helping each other are all markers of brotherhood our founders believed in, and we continue to recruit men with these qualities today. As a social-professional fraternity, we are bound not just by our values but by our professions — agriculture, natural resources, and related fields. Our members come from a long line of the very best Minnesota has to offer. Our legacy is the story and impact of these men, and our success is in finding brothers who will carry this on.
