More than 1,000 city and town offi - cials, legislators, business leaders and guests from across the state gathered in Tucson last week for the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Annual Conference, held Au- gust 31- September 3 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix, AZ. Among those in attendance were Quartzsite Mayor Norm Simpson, Council Members Starr BearCat, Lynda Goldberg, and Steve Schue. Town Manager Jim Fergu- son represented the Town of Quartzsite in various as- pects. Mayor Simpson served as Town of Quartzsite Flag Bearer during the League's Parade of Flags. Additionally he joined the Annual Business Meeting, held each year to elect members to the Executive Committee and to rat- ify the resolutions passed at the Resolutions Committee Meeting.
