While the Yankees have come alive in the season's second half, spurred by the trade dead- line acquisitions of Rizzo and Joey Gallo, the Mets have done a nosedive in the NL East, done in by injuries and a lack of hitting. 8 p.m. on HIST 9/11: Four Flights The passengers on four air- line flights — American 11, United 175, American 77 and United 93 — boarded their planes and departed for their destinations with no inkling of the fateful events that awaited them. This new two- hour documentary presents a powerful and personal take on some of those innocents on board, recounted by heartfelt narratives by their surviving family members and friends. The film airs tonight as a tribute to those lives lost 20 years ago. 8 p.m. on TCM Movie: To Kill a Mockingbird An adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, this 1962 drama is one of those rare films that perfectly captures the morality of its time, yet tran- scends it with the beauty of its writing and the power of its actors. Gregory Peck won an Oscar for his portrayal of Atticus Finch, an Alabama lawyer with quiet but unshak- able integrity defending an African-American man ac- cused of rape. Mary Badham also is excellent as Atticus' daughter, Scout. 9 p.m. on HALL Movie: Roadhouse Romance Returning home following a tour of duty, Lt. Callie Jack- son (Lauren Alaina) assumes she'll pick up her civilian life right where she left it, but when she gets back to her hometown, she's dismayed to discover that her grand- father's barbecue restaurant is struggling and her high school sweetheart has moved on to greener pas- tures. She's really not in the mood, then, for a run-in she has with Luke (Tyler Hynes), a handsome TV director passing through town.
