Meet Diego (12), Alexis (10)
and Ayden (5) of Springdale
and their dogs Flash, Ryder and
Alfie.
Flash, the black dog, is the
oldest of the trio! The family
adopted him from the Lowell Police
Department several years ago.
Ryder, one of the white ones, turns
four this month. He has a calm demeanor
and is the perfect companion for Diego.
A family member helped them find Ryder,
who was the last of his litter to find a
home. The minute Diego and Ryder met,
the family knew they had to be together.
They have been inseparable ever since!
Alfie, whose full name is Alfredo
"Alfuccino" Sifuentes, is the baby and
turns one this month. He belongs to
Alexis, who wanted her own little friend
to care for—although she
plays with and cares for all
the dogs. He is the total
opposite of Ryder! Alfie is
VERY high strung, and he
loves to play and run!
The kids love to take their furry friends
to the dog park or the trails, then take
them to Dairy Queen to get a pup cup!
Sometimes, when Alfie has had "too
much" pup cup, he gets the zoomies and
will start running back and forth across
the room and chasing his tail. Meanwhile,
the other two dogs just sit there and
watch him go crazy. The kids say, "It's
funny to see the other dogs' heads just
go from side to side as Alfie runs full
speed across the room. It's almost like
they are thinking to themselves 'that Alfie
is nuts!'"
