Operation Cool-Off The Council on Aging has fans to give away during the hot summer months for senior adults, age 60 or above and in need that live in Cleveland County. Hot weather is dangerous for older adults and anyone with heart disease, diabetes, or a history of stroke. Please call the Council on Aging at 704-482-3488 if you are in need of a box fan. Ask Dr. Telle Changes have been made for visits or calls for Dr. Telle at the Neal Senior Center (100 TR Harris Drive, Shelby, NC). Please note that you must now make an appointment to consult with Dr. Telle on health or medication issues. The appointments will be scheduled on Fridays, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Dr. Telle will no longer be taking walk-ins or impromptu telephone consultations. Moms In Touch International was established to encourage mothers, grandmothers and others to meet and to pray regularly for children and schools from Kindergarten through college. We are in dire need of volunteers for Monday Night Bingo to work in the kitchen and sell Bingo tickets on the floor, please sign up for just one night a month that would be great!
