Saturday, August 14, 2021 • 128TH ANNUAL GRAVETTE DAY • 3
Residents and guests of Gravette,
This year we celebrate the 128th Gravette Day and I am glad
that we can once again gather in person, reconnect with friends
and classmates, have a parade, and celebrate 'A New Day' after
the challenges of 2020.
I invite you to spend some time outdoors exploring the
recently extended walk-bike trail and the upgrades at our local
parks. Construction is underway at the former Main St./Garden
Café which, when completed, will be the new home of City Hall,
the Police Department, and Council Chambers. It's good to see
businesses open and new ones in the works. The section of I-49
from Bentonville to the Missouri line is on schedule to open in a
few months. The future of Gravette is bright and there's much to
look forward to in the days ahead.
On behalf of the Gravette Day Committee, City Council, and
the city staff, thank you for joining us in celebrating Gravette Day.
Gravette is a great place to call home on this day and every day.
Respectfully,
Kurt Maddox. Mayor
City of Gravette
Welcome from the mayor
