BQP THETA DELTA THETA DELTA DRAGON DRAGON Beta Theta Pi at The Ohio State University • Summer 2021 I am writing to all of you asking for your help! We are seeking alumni for our alumni association and house corporation boards. We currently have 11 members and are in need of interested and energetic brothers to help carry out our plans and programs—on behalf of alumni and with the active Chapter. Our board of directors includes Scott Saffell '78, Alan Veatch '79, Todd Stefanini '05, Dominic Bagnoli '85, John Dilley '67, David Hammond '65, David Rudy '56, David Wright '67, Joe Chinnici '64, Ralph Talmage '71, and Phil White '65. Open positions include alumni association secretary, scholarship chairman, social chairman, and at-large members of both our alumni association and house corporation. We are also looking for a local volunteer to help manage the Chapter House with Joe Chinnici. Joe has been doing this very important job since construction began on the house and we would like a local volunteer to learn the responsibilities of the job. If you are interested in working with other alumni and members of the active Chapter to personify Beta's values with our collegians and strengthen their bond with the Fraternity and eta Delta, please contact Scott Saffell at scott.w.saffell@gmail.com! Your Alumni Association Needs Your Help! Multiple Openings Available (Continued on page 2) W hat a great year for the eta Delta Chapter! We started the semester by adding 28 fantastic men to the Fraternity and went through an amazing new member process. Although the challenges of COVID-19 were still present, we made it a goal to remain great brothers and strive to do the best we can. We ended the year with an awesome philanthropy event for the Free To Smile organization, which performs surgeries on cle palates for kids in need. We raised over $4,000 for the organization and enough money for 16 surgeries. We were so glad to help, even in the toughest of times. Although most of the school year was virtual, we still finished the spring with a solid GPA of 3.38. I couldn't be prouder of these men. Looking to the fall, we are hopeful that most if not all COVID restrictions are lied on campus, and that we can gather in person once again. Members have done their part by getting vaccinated, and we hope that by the fall we are all able to have another great year together. We are also excited to welcome back alumni at last!
