Page 2 I hope all of you are doing well and staying safe as we hopefully near the end of the pandemic. COVID-19 has created many challenges for Beta Omicron, but we have banded together to foster a great environment for everyone. We finished the fall 2020 semester with a 3.54 GPA, which ranked us sixth of 21 IFC organizations. Our fall new member class also had a strong fall semester with a 3.42 GPA. These past three semesters have been a difficult transition to an environment of virtual learning, so I am very proud of the entire Chapter for what they have accomplished inside and outside the classroom. In terms of recruitment, Beta Omicron had its best cycle since our recolonization in 2015. We welcomed 26 new members in the fall, and we added 10 more this spring. We are very proud of these numbers considering the challenges surrounding the pandemic and are excited to see what they can contribute to the Chapter. Our recruitment success was only attainable because of the hard work and dedication from our recruitment chairmen and the recruitment team who worked tirelessly for weeks to meet up with potential new members. Also, if any of you know someone who is coming to UT Austin and would make a good Beta, please contact VP of Recruitment Matthew Donohue '19 at (469) 964- 2639 or recruitment@texasbeta.org. Our education team has diligently adapted throughout the semi-virtual new member process. Their hard work has paid off, as the new members are understanding what it means to be Men of Principle and appreciate the history and lore of Beta Theta Pi. Beta Omicron has also remained committed to its philanthropic efforts. We held a can food drive to benefit UT Outpost following the February ice storm and donated 410 cans to benefit those in need. Unfortunately, we were forced to cancel Casino Night, our annual charity event to benefit CCMK, due to COVID-19. However, we've already schedule next year's event for April 2 and are very excited about it. After receiving the Sisson Award last year, we're extremely motivated to be recognized again for our operational success and achievement. I believe we are on track to receive it again this year and am very proud of the Chapter's resilience throughout these past two semesters. Throughout the spring semester, we have been fortunate to hold socially distanced brotherhood dinners at least once a month so that brothers can reconnect with each other. I have enjoye seeing Beta Omicron's great progress through all the issues we have encountered and have been honored to lead such a great group of men.
