T he past three semesters have been truly unforge able for all of college life, with students and organiza ons ge ng crea ve to stay physically and mentally healthy. As we look forward to a stronger, "new normal" this fall, we are proud of what we've accomplished along the way. Sisters have priori zed each other's well-being through a variety of events and ac vi es, all while maintaining the same strong grades Gamma Phi is known for. We are so proud of the hard work that led to a GPA of 3.49 for the fall 2020 semester. Sigma Chapter held two sisterhood events this spring. First, we invited members back to the chapter house in small groups to meet and reconnect with one another—complete with cookies and hot chocolate! Next, small groups got to flex their crea ve muscles at the house by pain ng pots and plan ng succulents and cac . SIGMA CHAPTER MAINTAINS GRADES AND SISTERHOOD EVENTS Looks Forward to Promising Fall Semester "Not only was pain ng a fun ac vity," Quincy Strawhecker '18 said, "but I also got to know some people I probably wouldn't have otherwise this semester!" It means so much to us to provide these opportuni es for new members despite the pandemic's challenges. Gamma Phi Beta was paired with Delta Tau Delta for Rock Chalk Revue, and all our hard work paid off. On the philanthropy side, we hosted an online fundraiser for Girls on the Run, bringing in $1,165; we also held a COVID- safe mac and cheese sale for guests. "It truly means so much to our members to assist young women in finding their core values and strengthening their character for the future," Philanthropy Chairman Shelby Rome '19 said. We were thrilled to host Mom's Weekend on the weekend of March 26 and let our Gamma Phi mothers tour the house while observing safety guidelines. On that note, we are op mis c to see more in-person events return this fall and welcome more alumnae back to the chapter house. Please get your vaccine if you are able, and we look forward to seeing you back on campus. In IIKE, Macy Talkington '19 Chapter President kugphipresident@gmail.com Go Chiefs!
