The following arrests were made by Quartzsite Police Department May 11 through June 4, 2013 5/11: Richard Young, age 56, from Hemet, CA was cited and released for Driving with a Suspended License. 5/12: Edwin Aguilar, age 35, from Quartzsite was arrested and booked into jail for Assault – Domestic Violence against a minor. 5/12: Rosa Celaya, age 46, from Quartzsite was arrested and booked for an outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant for Failure to Pay Fines out of Parker Justice Court. 5/15: Amber Mahanay, age 32, from Quartzsite was arrested and booked for Possession of Dangerous Drugs and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 5/15: Alberto Avila, age 36, from Tecate, CA was cited and released for Driving with a Suspended License. 5/22: Ralph Johnson, age 38, from Bouse was arrested and booked for Possession of Dangerous Drugs. 5/23: John Zimmerman, age 30, from Upland, CA was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 5/24: Gerald Perrin, age 50, from Quartzsite was cited and released for Driving with a Suspended License. 5/24: Morgan Turek, age 21, from San Diego, CA was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 5/24: Thomas Gray, age 22, from Brawley, CA was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 5/24: Penelope Leyva, age 39, from Phoenix, AZ was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 5/24: Arlene Buss, age 24, from Blythe, CA was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 5/27: Nicole Grettenberg, age 34, from San Pedro, CA was cited and released for Excessive Speed. 6/1: Cynthia Cordova, age 28, from Quartzsite was arrested and booked for Theft. 6/3: Thomas Feeney, age 60, from Quartzsite was arrested and booked for Disorderly Conduct with a Deadly Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Threatening or Intimidating, and Endangerment. 6/4: Larry Stawkey, age 56, from Quartzsite was arrested and booked for Assault – Domestic Violence, Disorderly Conduct, and Promoting Prison Contraband. LEVEL 2 SEX OFFENDER ALERT The Quartzsite Police Department released the following information pursuant to A.R.S. 13-3825, "The Community Notification of Sex Offender Law". The offender in this publication has indicated that he will be living in Quartzsite, Arizona. Notification must be made when certain sex offenders are released from the Arizona State Prison, accepted under an Interstate Compact or Released from the County Jail back into the community. The individual who appears in this notification has been convicted of a sex offense which allows for community notification. He is NOT wanted by the Quartzsite Police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear: rather, it is our belief that an informed community is a safer community. ADDRESS 350 W MAIN ST., TYSON RV # 14 QUARTZSITE, AZ 85346 On 4/20/2004, James Richard Harbison was arrested on three counts of 2nd Degree Child Molestation which resulted in a conviction of assault with intent to commit sex.
