Scott fills the vacant seat made when Patricia Anderson resigned in April due to health. Scott owns Cactus Curlers Beauty Salon, located at 712 W. Cowell and has been a resident of Quartzsite since 1971. In October, 2012, Scott portrayed Angelita Scott known as "Grandma Scott", during Hi Jolly Cemetery's 2012 Spirit Walk. Grandma Scott was the birth mother of 12 and was the foundation for 5 generations of Quartzsite Scott family. Scott served as La Paz County Supervisor for four years, and has 12 1/2 years experience as a judge. She served as Quartzsite's first Magistrate Judge. Scott was sworn in on Wednesday, June 5th and attended her first council meeting on June 11th.
