He and his wife Marcia have two adult and married children, Tricia and Baxter. Mike and Marcia are excited about the birth of their first grandchild, Hazel Grace, and about taking their first steps into the wonderful world of grandparenting. Garrett was ordained as a Presbyterian pastor in 1987. He has served churches in Danville, Virginia, Atlanta and Denver. He is now thrilled to pastor a historic and mission-minded congregation that focuses on serving the local community. The First Presbyterian congregation recently adopted "Serve and Share" as the motto that ties them to their mission: "…to serve Jesus Christ and share his Gospel through meaningful worship, loving fellowship, spiritual growth, and compassionate outreach within our community and throughout the world." First Presbyterian invites you in the hope that you will find the church to be Christ-centered and called to action by the love of God and neighbor. They invite you to join them to seeking to demonstrate the light and hope of God's good news in Fayetteville and beyond. Open for in-person worship Sundays at 11 a.m. Follow us on Facebook @1stprez and Instagram @firstprezfay. Livestream available at firstprez.com/live-stream. Dr. Mike Garrett FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF FAYETTEVILLE 910.485.8855 | www.yourepicenter.com 2512 Fort Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303 Mark Knight has been the lead pastor of Epicenter Church in Fayetteville since 2006. Before coming to Epicenter, he spent more than 15 years in the business world - building and running a highly successful company - and he brings that same drive and passion to his role at Epicenter. These characteristics and experiences have given him a unique perspective, and he wants to leverage that perspective to reach people with the love of Jesus. Pastor Mark is married to Kim, and they have three sons: Michael, Cody and Jacob. Under Pastor Mark's leadership, Epicenter Church has grown to three locations and has a passion to serve our community. We believe that saved people serve people. From hosting Hop in the Park, an Easter event that draws 25,000-plus people annually, to Operation Compassion, an initiative that feeds 5,000 people a Thanksgiving meal, Epicenter exists to serve others. The church also started a non-profit organization that empowers people to volunteer to meet the needs of those around them, and over 100,000 community service hours have been logged so far. Epicenter holds worship services on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and offers ministries and programs for the entire family. Mark Knight EPICENTER CHURCH
