Dawn and her husband Brian have been married for 24 years and have 6 children. She homeschools their two youngest and is a proud Army Mom as well. She has many talents and interests including 28 years' experienced Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwon Do. Dawn is also an Arkansas Licensed Sign Language Interpreter working part time in the local community. 2021 begins her third year serving on the BVBA Board and she is enthusiastic to continue to support local businesses and the community. In addition to her family and careers, she owns her own home-based business, Dawn of a New Day, as an independent consultant with Monat. Dawn's passion is to help people enjoy beautiful, healthy lives through safer, vegan, cruelty free and naturally based products backed by science for hair, skin, and wellness. She enjoys serving others by providing personalized service to solve all types of hair and skin problems that in turn help people feel and look their best. If you have thinning, dry, frizzy, any type of hair problem and want to feel more confident in your appearance, or your skin is dry or showing signs of aging, she provides free consultations making specialized recommendations. Indeed, helping and serving others is her personal mission. She is honored to serve as the president of the BVBA in supporting the local community through the growth of fellow entrepreneurs. Dani Beeman, Vice President Dani Beeman, originally from Chicago and then West Des Moines, has lived in Bella Vista since 1994. She has been in advertising and marketing for over 20 years and prior to that was a Travel Agent and Group Tour Guide. Dani is a huge sports enthusiast and TV junkie, so it was a perfect fit when she found her home at Fox24, KNWA and KXNW. As an Advertising and Marketing enthusiast who thrives on helping small businesses grow and succeed, her position on the board and her access to fabulous TV and Digital Media platforms allows her to help local businesses find more success and profits. She is a home improvement and landscape warrior. She is very thankful that her dad, stepmom, little sister and nephew all live in Northwest Arkansas. Although she lost her beloved Ditka last year, her dogs Soldier and Rizzo are the loves of her life. For five months of the year, she wastes an incomprehensible amount of time playing fantasy football and the other 7 months she wastes equal time analyzing the players and trades for the next dra. Bear Down! Go Cubs Go! Paula Halstead, Secretary Paula Halstead is the owner of Comfort Keepers In-Home Care of Northwest Arkansas. She and her husband, Gary, started their business in September of 2012. Comfort Keepers provides in-home care which improves senior citizens' quality of life and enables independent living at home. Some of her company's services include transportation for shopping and appointments, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry services, bathing and mobility assistance. Comfort Keepers also provides assistance with Alzheimer's and dementia care as well as working in conjunction with hospice for end of life care. In 2018, Comfort Keepers placed as the "Best of Northwest Arkansas" winner in the category of Best Home Care/ Hospice. Comfort Keepers was also selected as the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce Main Street member of the Year for 2018.
