Mississippi Ave. e Sigma Nu chapter house has been on Danny's mind more than usual since the tornado ripped through the Ruston area and damaged it in April 2019, and he was determined to do something about it. When the opportunity came about to give to Eta Zeta's capital campaign to build a new chapter house, Danny didn't think twice about supporting it. "e house was showing its age prior to the tornado that struck Louisiana Tech and Ruston, but aer the tornado, it was time to build a new house," Danny said. "Eta Zeta is doing well, and the membership needs a new house to further ensure the success of the chapter." One of the first takeaways Danny gleaned from Sigma Nu as a potential new member was how the men of Eta Zeta seemed like a well-rounded group that focused on values and academics more so than other fraternities. Danny sees the same qualities in the active chapter today and encourages his brothers to join him in contributing to the campaign. "I hope they will be reminded of the good times and their own experiences, as well as the impact that Sigma Nu made on them," Danny said. "It's important to give back and support the chapter as you are able and feel led to do. Everyone can play a role!" Danny cherishes the friendships from his days of living at 809 W. Mississippi Ave., and they are one of many reasons he's thankful for his Sigma Nu experience. His first job was a result of a Sigma Nu relationship and led to a 32-year career with Anadarko Petroleum.
