Born in Burke County on July 9, 1933, he was the son of the late Peter Bradshaw and Minnie Chapman Bradshaw. Mr. Bradshaw also served our country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce "Sue" Faye Bivens Bradshaw; three brothers, Garland Bradshaw, Fay Bradshaw and Archie Bradshaw and one sister, Mary Alice Allen. Survivors include his son, Randy Bradshaw and wife, Robin of Connelly Springs; daughter, Robin Deviney and husband, Max of Casar, three grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. RHEALENE "RHEA" BRYANT LAMB Rhealene "Rhea" Bryant Lamb passed into eternal life on February 20, 2021. She was born to Gordon Vick and Glenda Pugh Bryant in Grand Saline, TX, on July 14, 1933. She is survived by her hus- band, Dr. Robert Lee Lamb; and her children, Dr. Robert RALPH AMASTA GREENE Ralph Amasta Greene, age 99, of Shelby, NC was born in Cleveland County on October 1, 1921. He was the son of the late Grover B. and Essie Mae McEntire Greene. Mr. Greene served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Byrd Greene; numerous brothers and sisters; an adopted son, Mike Greene and a stepson, Larry Byrd. He is survived by two step- sons, Terry and wife, Brenda Byrd and Dennis and wife, Miranda; one stepdaughter- in-law, Alice Byrd; and grand- children. Memorial Service was held February 27, 2021 at the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home with Ken Byrd officiating. A native of Cleveland, NC, he was the son of the late Noble and Dorcus Leigh Evans and husband of the late Joan H. Evans. He is survived by daugh- ters: Connie E. Gibson of Blacksburg, SC and Stephanie E. Fowler of Atlanta, GA; a daughter-in- law, Misty Evan; six grand- children; four great grandchil- dren; and his brother, George Ray Evans of Blacksburg, SC. Along with his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, John P. Evans, a grandson; brother, Jerry Evans and sister, Marie Galloway. Born in Bayamon Puerto Rico in March 10, 1944, Raquel was the daughter of the late Ramon and Rosa Santiago Perez. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Magda Torres. BETTY SUE "DET" HOPPER ARCHIE Mrs. Betty Sue "Det" Hopper Archie, 68, of Shelby, NC passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at her residence. She was born on September 18, 1952 in Cleveland, NC to the late Rev. Garland Hopper and the late Hattie Ross Hopper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Archie; one granddaughter; two sisters, Mary Maddox and Carolyn Adams; and two brothers, Hazel Lee Hopper and Garland Hopper, Jr. She leaves to cher- ish fond memories of her to her husband, Louis K. Archie; three sisters, Sarah Gill (Sherwood) and Rosie Williams (John) both of Shelby and Willie Mae Hopper Langston (Barry) of Boiling Springs, NC; four brothers, Walter Hopper (Annie) of Cherryville, NC, Robert Hopper, Paul Hopper and Lemanuel "Tiney" Hopper of Boiling Springs, NC; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Born in Cleveland County, on April 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Daisy Swink Hefner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Short; her mother Daisy; brother, Earl; and sister, Nancy. She is survived by her chil- dren Tommy Swink and wife Sarah of Tennessee, Jimmy Short and wife Angie of Hickory, Joe Short and wife Tammy of Polkville, Wanda Sigmon and husband Ned of Lawndale, and Donna Short of Belwood; and ten grand- children and ten great grand- children. She was born on March 11, 1947 in Lincolnton, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Hicks Smith and step-father, Carl Linsie Smith of Fallston, NC.
