The entire estate is powered by an innovative system of solar panels, batteries and a hydrogen fuel cell allowing it to produce its own clean energy. The winery also has a contemporary restaurant in downtown Sonoma where multi-course dinners are served four nights a week in an outdoor dining room. This world-class winery was founded by Mac McQuown in 2004 along with his friend and previous winemaking associate, Jeff Baker, who has brought his expertise along with a small mountain vineyard to the project. Today, Stone Edge Farm Estate Vineyards & Winery farms 18 acres of vineyard on Moon Mountain and 4.5 acres in Sonoma Valley at the Stone Edge Farm property. Under the guidance of legendary viticulturist, Phil Coturri, the vineyards are farmed organically adhering to the highest environmental standards. With over 40 years of experience in farming and making wines, the team is committed to crafting world class wines, created from classic Bordeaux grape varieties. The winemaker, Jeff Baker, believes that wine is food and should be paired har- moniously and enjoyed with other delicious foods. From each vintage, they produce three estate-grown wines, equivalent to a grand vin, second vin, and a white Bordeaux. Their signature Cabernet Sauvignon is structured for extended aging, the Surround Red Bordeaux Blend invites earlier consumption, and the Sauvignon Blanc is crafted in a Bordeaux Blanc style.
