Celia's Rainbow Gardens will still be having its Annual Heroes Ap- preciation Day this year on March 6, but it will be done virtually because of the diffi culty to be safe with a large crowd. The program to honor the First Re- sponders and Military as well as to remember 9/11 will be fi lmed over the next few weeks and will include lots of people's comments on what this is all about, especially from those we are honoring. Work has already been started on the six monuments we are putting in. The footings are ready for the cement blocks. Hopefully, we will be working on them very soon. We will put the information about where you can watch the online video in the next issue of March 3. Please be sure to check the Desert Messenger paper on the 3rd or look on Facebook for more information. We had to do the 9/11 ceremony in September virtually also, and it turned out very well. This event is very special to show our support for our Police, Fire District, Search and Rescue, Military and 9/11 victims. It is also a way to thank all of them who still put their lives on the line every day to help our com- munities. They all should never be forgotten. Because we cannot have a huge gathering at this time, we have also decided to cancel the annual Party In The. Park that was scheduled for March 20th. It will be the fi rst party we have cancelled in 25 years and we hope that we will be able to have it again next year!
