As Emily looks forward to her senior year and post-graduate plans, which will hopefully include a career in health administration, she knows that the skills she hones at Gamma Zeta will be helpful throughout her life. "Even though I've finished my term as house chairman, I aspire to stay connected with the members of the chapter and grow from the experiences that Kappa has provided me with," Emily said. "I loved being a part of the house board last year and will stay connected with them as they serve as role models and wonderful alumnae of the chapter." Emily has started to realize how important it is to remain involved with Kappa as an alumna, especially after the early efforts of the capital campaign. She believes the campaign is going to strengthen the bonds of Gamma Zeta sisters across several generations. "Kappa is a lifelong membership and I believe the campaign will reignite the memory of Kappa in several alumnae. Giving back to the chapter and supporting the active women, so that they might too get to share in the wonderful gifts that Kappa brings, will further strengthen the membership of those that donate," Emily said. "It is so important during this time to stay connected and remain active in the organizations that mean something to you. Donating to the campaign might even bring some unexpected gifts back to you as you reconnect with sisters you shared some unforgettable memories with." It has been an honor for Emily to be one of many sisters to reap the rewards of the Kappa experience at U of A over the past 100 years. She hopes that alumnae can ensure that future members of Gamma Zeta will have the same opportunities because of the capital campaign. You can connect with Emily at emilyhernandez1@email.arizona.edu.
