DesertMessengerNews LOLITA MARIA HOMEIER METCALF COOPER 1941-2020 After a battle with liver cancer, Lolita left this world and crossed over to be with her Lord on July 3, 2020. She leaves behind her three wonderful sons, Gregory Metcalf (Angela) of Boulder City, NV; Stever Metcalf and Christopher Metcalf of Medford, OR; and grandson Cory Metcalf of Yosemite, CA. Lolita was a fun loving, giving, compassionate, always smiling, Christ loving person who has al- ways ready to travel and have fun. She loved the desert and enjoyed her time in Quartzsite, AZ where she was a vendor for many years and met many wonderful people. She received her nursing degree in New York, and after moving to Jacksonville, she owned the Mus- tard Seed and later Cooper's Trading Post. She also worked at Providence Hospital in the Quality Assurance Department for many years. In lieu of fl owers or sadness, she hopes her family and friends will smile and remember all the good times that were had. MARK G. BEAUCHAMP July 2, 1956 – February 25, 2020 Husband, friend, servant, mu- sician, devoted follower of Jesus Christ Mark was born in Mt. Vernon, WA to parents Margaret McConnell and Michael Walston. Mark passed away peacefully in his sleep after a short time of illness. Mark became an emancipated minor at age 15 and applied for his GED in order to open the fi rst of many bicycle repair shops while also attending college. Eventually Mark followed his dream and love of music to South- ern California in 1976. He was a self-taught guitarist gifted by God to play like "Angels sing." He played his guitar and helped many church- es and ministries across the country as he felt God called him to "Go ye, into all the world…" from the age of 15 until he passed at 63, to share God's word. Mark started writing poetry when he gave his life to God in 1972. His passion to share Christ to the "Lost and Dying of this world" was always foremost on his heart and mind. Mark was best known by many for giving out his favorite "money tracks," primarily the "million," "trillion," and "big hundred dol- DAN R. LENHART Dan R. Lenhart, 63, was taken from us by the good Lord on No- vember 14, 2020. He was born Dec. 3, 1956 to Paul and Dorothy Lenhart in Auburn, WA. He was a successful tanker truck driver and driver trainer for 27 years in Wash- ington state. He loved the desert, gold digging, fl ea markets, camp- ing, building yard windmills and most of all, loved people. He loved to tinker in his shop and could fi x almost anything. Dan is survived by; his wife, Nik- ki of Quartzsite; his mother (Doro- thy); sisters Judy(Buck) and Linda (Dave) of the Seattle area; sister Debbie (Danny) and brother Mike (Tammy) in Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul. Dan chose to be cremated and have his ashes scattered in the des- ert. The family will have a celebra- tion of life in the spring. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him. "Rest in peace, baby, I miss you". Nikki lar bills." He would pass them out wherever the Lord took him; not only motorcycle and car rallies, but stores, restaurants, gas stations, laundromats, churches, and be- yond. Mark said many times, "I'd rather have someone hate me and know God's truth than to love me and go to Hell." If you knew Mark, he made sure you knew Jesus. Mark went to RV repair school in Southern California in 1983 when he became the hard working, sole proprietor of "Mark's RV" his mo- bile RV service and repair company for 37 years. – 25 of those years right here in Quartzsite, AZ. He was respected in the business commu- nity and had a "Five Star" rating for customer service on Google. He en- joyed educating his customers as he helped them get back on the road. Mark spent his summers in various places across the country, including the last 10 years in Denver, CO. He loved his customers everywhere, in- cluding the grateful for their patron- age, loyalty, and referrals to others. A Friend once said, "Getting to know Mark is like peeling an on- ion… the more you know about home, the deeper the layers go. He was an amazing man." Mark was tender hearted, kind, giving, funny, dedicated, loyal, and a helpful ser- vant. He was known by many as a "Gentle Giant." Mark was survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Susie Taylor of Quartzsite, AZ and his service dog, Titus. Mark will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him in Quartzsite, Denver and beyond. We are happy he has gone "home" to be with the Lord.
