"Our Advanced Placement classes are continuing to thrive in the new space, too," Charley continued. "The addition of our three science labs is huge for us. In the past we had just had one science lab that two teachers would share and another science lab that one teacher had and so they had to work together to schedule who was going to be at labs on which days. Now we're afforded the ability to always have a science classroom available for each teacher – biology, chemistry and physics." And, of course, the business partners are an ongoing essential component that help keep a focus on the future. "Our Department of Career and Technical Education has such vast offerings and they've got some really updated curriculum," Charley said. "But we are always keeping our ears and eyes pointed towards our different business partners in Northwest Arkansas." The new high school facility is much more than a collection of classrooms in a new building, it is a passageway into the future. And in the Pea Ridge School District, that future looks very bright.
