Staying afloat during a global pandemic has been a task that not many would be able to handle, but, as always, Alpha Nu has shown resilience. Our Chapter has succeeded, no matter what we face. As the world continues to change, Greek life must be able to adapt to maintain its place. I am confident that the trials our Chapter is facing now will only come to better serve Alpha Nu in the following years. The future of Alpha Nu is incredibly bright; anything and everything is on the horizon. As construction continues on our new Chapter House, excitement for this new stage in Alpha Nu's history continues to grow. Over the summer, our Chapter successfully navigated its way through another recruitment season, this time during a pandemic. We are incredibly proud to have added 26 new brothers to our Chapter and look forward to all the contributions they will make to Sigma Chi, in their undergraduate years and beyond. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to work toward bringing in a quality spring pledge class. This past spring, we received a new hero from the B+ Foundation; we are looking for new ways to engage with Kevin, although COVID-19 has restricted us from seeing him in person. With the cancellation of large in-person gatherings, we had no choice but to cancel Fight Night, the Chapter's biggest philanthropic event. However, we are still hopeful that we will be able to successfully continue our philanthropic endeavors and give back to the community. This semester, we also partnered with the Neighborhood Longhorns Program, an incentive-based learning program that provides educationally disadvantaged youth with the resources to build a strong academic future. Despite all classes being moved online halfway through the semester, we still had many brothers achieve a 4.0 GPA in the spring. Although unsure what else 2020 will throw our way, we look forward to our future with great hope and the knowledge that our brotherhood will always triumph. Our goal is to create a brotherhood ever advancing the noble purposes of Sigma Chi and the Alpha Nu Chapter.
