Green Kids know that lots of household items can be reused, recycled and re- invented into creative crafts. Winter is a perfect time to re-purpose items around the house into crafts and make gifts for your friends and family. It's fun, and it's a great way to show you care about the planet too! Check out these great ideas, then get crafting! recycled winter crafts egg carton penguins supplies: Egg carton Black paint White and orange paper Googly eyes Glue Directions: 1. Staple 2 paper plates together to make a simple snowman. 2. Next squeeze glue all over the paper plates (fun!). 3. Once the plates are nice and "gluey", press handfuls of shredded paper onto the plates. You might want to add a 2nd layer of glue and more shredded paper on top of the first layer, to make your little snowman extra fluffy. 4. Glue on the eyes, nose, buttons and hat.
