Green Kids know that lots of household items can be reused, recycled and re-
invented into creative crafts. Winter is a perfect time to re-purpose items around
the house into crafts and make gifts for your friends and family. It's fun, and it's
a great way to show you care about the planet too! Check out these great ideas,

shredded paper snowmen
supplies:
• 2 paper plates stapled together
• Shredded paper (ask your adult for some
paper from the paper shredder)
• Black paper circles for eyes and
buttons

• white glue
Directions:
1. Staple 2 paper plates
together to make a simple
snowman.
2. Next squeeze glue all over the

3. Once the plates are nice

buttons and hat. Say hello to your
indoor snowman! Give him or her a
