Page 2 I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe in what has turned out to be a year for the history books. COVID-19 has presented many challenges that the men of Beta Omicron have navigated well. We finished the spring semester with a 3.798 Chapter GPA. Our spring new member class outperformed every other fraternity for the second semester in a row, taking the top spot with a 3.856 GPA. I am extremely proud of the brothers for their hard work and flexibility in the transition to virtual learning and am very confident we will continue our academic excellence this fall. Another challenge during this pandemic was fall recruitment. e recruitment team worked tirelessly throughout the summer, adapting our recruitment techniques to fit all COVID guidelines. We conducted countless Zoom meetings with recruits and hosted small groups for dinners. Our men's resilience and perseverance paid off with a fall class of 25 men. e education team has also risen to the challenge and adapted our pledge process to be semi-virtual this semester while still guiding our future brothers in the history and lore of the Fraternity. A virtual initiation was held on November 22. While we could not attend convention in person, I am pleased to announce that this past summer, Beta Omicron was awarded the Sisson Award. is award recognizes operational success and achievement in all facets of the Chapter, and we are excited to be one of the few Chapters to receive this award—especially only five years aer recolonizing. As my term as president nears its end, I am so proud of how much the Chapter has progressed this year. If you had asked me in January what the biggest struggles would be, global pandemic would not have been on my mind. Nevertheless, I have been so impressed by what the Chapter has accomplished and will continue to accomplish in the years to come. Being a part of this Chapter has been nothing short of a blessing, and I can't wait to help this brotherhood in whatever way I can.
