DELTA TAU DELTA PAGE 5 NAVIGATING THE NEW NORMAL Active Delts Adapt to New Safety Measures T he start of the fall 2020 semester was unlike any other. We started out the year by moving our members into the old Pike house, a short distance from the old Shelter. While we miss our old home, we have had little problem adjusting to the new change of scenery. We have successfully implemented social distancing standards within our residence, providing sanitizing stations and requiring masks when in groups. We had a small outbreak of COVID-19 in the house initially, but we mitigated the spread thanks to our quarantine implementations and are now virus-free. So far, we have 21 recruits for the fall semester. We hope to add even more once we have com- pleted our virtual Greek Discovery Day, which was postponed in the spring. The men of Delta Tau Delta look forward to shaping the member class of 2020 into proud Delt brothers. PC '20 is a well-rounded group of young men who we believe will carry the chapter to places of higher achievement. These men have displayed commitment and character to all of those in the fraternity, and we look forward to guiding them on the rest of their journey. In the absence of Homecoming and Freshman Follies this semester, the chapter is focusing all that it can on academics and philanthropy. As Homecoming was a large contributor to our Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation philan- thropy, we are working on new ways to benefit this charity. We look forward to the future of Delta Tau Delta at OSU and strive to be the best we absolutely can.
