Great Plates
Marin County, the State of California
and FEMA fund Great Plates, a pro-
gram that offers up to three restaurant
meals a day delivered to residents 65
and older who have a chronic con-
dition, can't safely access meals and
live alone or with another qualified
household member. Income must be
under $74,980 for individuals and under
$101,460 for a household of two, and
recipients cannot be on any other state
or federally-funded nutrition program.

Vivalon
Vivalon (formerly Whistlestop)
provides a wide range of services
for Marin's elders and people with
disabilities, and it is currently helping
to provide emergen-cy relief as well.
Services include a grocery distribution
program, home-delivered meals, a
food pantry and CarePool rides for
vital medical appointments and trips
to the grocery store. It also offers
resource referrals and virtual yoga

IHSS
In-Home Supportive Services is a
government-funded program that
pays for caregivers so low-income
elders can remain in their own homes.

The nonprofit IOA provides care
management and fiduciary services
and coordinates with doctors and
caregivers, as well as supporting
connections with family, friends and
appropriate recreational activities.

Marin Villages coordinates volunteers
who provide support so elders
can stay in their own homes and
live independently. During the
shelter-in-place, volunteers wearing
