Great Plates Marin County, the State of California and FEMA fund Great Plates, a pro- gram that offers up to three restaurant meals a day delivered to residents 65 and older who have a chronic con- dition, can't safely access meals and live alone or with another qualified household member. Income must be under $74,980 for individuals and under $101,460 for a household of two, and recipients cannot be on any other state or federally-funded nutrition program. Vivalon Vivalon (formerly Whistlestop) provides a wide range of services for Marin's elders and people with disabilities, and it is currently helping to provide emergen-cy relief as well. Services include a grocery distribution program, home-delivered meals, a food pantry and CarePool rides for vital medical appointments and trips to the grocery store.
