Street, M.D. '57 entered Chapter Eternal on March 18, 2019. He was a retired surgeon and a resident of Steamboat Springs, Colo. He will be missed by his friends, family, and Sigma Chi brothers. James W. Brush '59 entered Chapter Eternal on January 13. Jim spent the majority on his career with Trus Joist where he gained lifelong friends and built a profound reputation within the company. In his retirement, he enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, boating, and sailing. He was well traveled and captained his sailboat in both hemispheres. Conrad C. Smith '61 entered Chapter Eternal peacefully on June 24 at home surrounded by family and friends. He enjoyed lifelong friendships with his Bobcat Sigma Chi brothers. Conrad worked for 50 years in Moscow, Idaho, where he owned Western Consultants. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones. Robert F. Hardgrove '64 entered Chapter Eternal on August 27 aer an extended illness, which he fought with courage and determination. Bob retired in 2000 and spent many happy years working on his ranch near Lavina with his beloved border collie, Maggie. He loved the outdoors and completed many projects on his land. James P. Kutzman '69 entered Chapter Eternal on January 28. Jim was a proud member of MSU's Bobcat football team and was draed into the Army during his senior year, serving his country in Vietnam. He will be missed by his brothers and loved ones. ALUMNI NEWS Gilbert Yost '50 is retired and nearing the age of 100. He lives in East Wenatchee, Wash. John J. Cassidy, Ph.D. '52 has been retired from the Bechtel Corporation in San Francisco since 2004 and is approaching his 90th birthday. Aer retiring from Bechtel, he spent 15 years as a private consultant on water-resource projects in the U.S. and other countries. During the 20 years he spent with Bechtel, he traveled much of the world visiting company projects. Altogether, he has been to 53 different countries. His wife, Alice Willman (Alpha Gam 1955), who passed away in 2005, was able to travel with him much of the time. John hasn't been in contact with his Beta Rho brothers, but he does have a few Sig friends from other chapters living with him in independent living condos in Walnut Creek, Calif. He and his children all miss them tremendously. Charles lives in Roswell, Ga. Joseph D. Brookshier '59 lives in a senior facility in Billings and shared that Brother Don Glynn '52 also lives in the same facility. He's still active with the Montana Federation of Public Employment union.
