Barpay ensures COVID doesn't stick you with the bill Barpay was founded in 2015 and launched its first product in 2016. "The goal from inception has been to simplify the POS industry and bring POS hardware and technology up to date with the rest of the world (the dominant systems are still running the same antiquated technology originally developed in the '70s)," says Joe De Pinto, co-founder of Barpay. "Since 2015, Barpay has become a leader in mobile order and payments at high volume college and sports bars across the country, most notably the legendary 901 Bar and Grill at the University of Southern California, and Shellback Tavern in Manhattan Beach, California. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, their digital menus have been implemented at more than 5,000 venues across the country ranging from restaurants, to hotels, to salons, to country clubs and more. Here is what they can provide: Contactless digital menus Venue owners create an account (venue name, address, and login email), then upload an image of the venue's logo and a PDF of the venue's menu. This information is uploaded on the account dashboard. Once the PDF of the menu(s) has been uploaded, a QR code will be automatically generated. The QR code will never change regardless of how many different menus you upload. Customers view the QR code through their smartphone's camera, which will propagate a link that the customer can click to view the menu. This typically does not require the customer to download any apps, although there are some Android devices that do not have a QR code reader enabled by default will need to go to their phone's settings to enable. Customers don't have to touch any menus and the menus reduce overall physical interaction. Contactless order and pay platform The system can be set up remotely, and we provide the only hardware needed (two Epson thermal receipt printers). There is a back-end dashboard that the operator can access from any tablet or computer, in order to manage/view inventory, sales reports, and live tabs. Customers scan the QR code which takes them to an interactive menu from which they can select items, place the order, and pay. Placing an order results in corresponding tickets being printed at the provided Epson thermal receipt printers (image attached). For more information, visit barpay.com or call (818) 429-9477. Get your business back into its SafeZone Crystal Art Gallery (CAG) is a major consumer products company that has been around for 30 years and sells to major big-box retailers, Walmart, Kroger, Home Depot. CAG designs, sources, displays, warehouses, and distributes products at its 250,000 square foot Los Angeles facility and 75,000 square feet in Mexico. The company has a distinct freight cost advantage and has an ocean freight arrangement that provides the fastest delivery time from China to the U.S. "When COVID hit, a lot of our retailers were looking for PPE, so we were one of the first companies to get into it because we have offices in China," says Michael Malm of SafeZone, which has been importing infrared, touchless thermometers and protective masks, including one set where the masks come individually sealed for guest distribution. Despite being a creation of the COVID pandemic, SafeZone is here to stay—especially because it shares CAG's resources. "It's not going to go away," says Malm of SafeZone. "All of our product is from approved, white-list factories that have government backing." Right now, use the code "ADULT" to get 5% off your order. For more information, visit safezonefacemasks.com.
