Just a few more and we’ll have our entire average for the Summer, so I’m sure we’ll be sitting on a record number of hot days by the end of August. Also, depending on where you were, it was mainly dry. The Shelby airport recorded only .29” of rain, a new low. Almost nothing! But scattered parts of both Rutherford and Cleveland County got decent storm coverage. The new month starts fresh and new with a much cooler, tolerable airmass. This new airmass will cover us for a few days before the Summer heat and humidity returns slowly as the holiday approaches.
