Scott contribut- ed to the capital campaign not be- cause he felt a debt to repay, but because he understood that it's a privilege to be involved in the brotherhood. While the Chapter House has been built, there is still work to be done with the capital campaign. Scott is calling upon every brother to chip in. "It isn't important that you are one of the largest donors because every dollar helps to meet the goals and lessens the ongoing debt service obligation," Scott said. "Please consider giving in accordance with your ability so that we can provide the best opportunity available for the undergraduates." For Scott, who has found a great deal of success as a managing partner with N. Scott Johnson & Associates, there is no price tag that he can put on the memories, benefits, and experiences Lambda Chi Alpha has provided him. Lambda Chi Alpha's principles were key for him when it came to developing and maintaining relationships that were structured around integrity, work ethic, and dependability. Scott stayed in touch with several brothers from his era and has enjoyed building friendships with brothers he didn't live with in the Chapter House. "When I would previously work with the undergraduates during some rough times, I would always reinforce to them that this experience is so much more than your four years at the university. It's a lifelong commitment," Scott said. "The brotherhood is more than the guys you lived in the Chapter House with. Alpha Eta consists of hundreds of brothers you have never met, but they are no less brothers and care about Lambda Chi Alpha." The friendship Scott has developed with Jeff Logsdon AH1602 is a great example of how Alpha Eta is a brotherhood that is strongly connected between generations. After meeting at an alumni event, Scott and Jeff learned they were from the same hometown. They have since spent many hours driving to Chapter meetings for nearly three years when assistance was needed. Scott is hopeful that all brothers can visit the new Chapter House sooner rather than later. No matter how near or far brothers live from Stillwater, Scott wants to remind everyone that the time is now to contribute to the campaign. "This is our opportunity to provide the undergraduates with the Chapter House that we always talked about and wanted. The final product is amazing and gorgeous. It is a special feeling to know that you had a part in making it happen," Scott said. "The new Chapter House puts us in a position to be much more competitive in recruitment and with the other top houses on campus. Truly, we had fallen behind with all of the new Greek structures going up. We are no longer behind, but at the front of the line." You can connect with Scott at scott@ nscottjohnson.com.
