5 O ur annual Seabury auction was held on February 15, 2020, with a most appropriate theme, Under Construction. The auction is truly a special time for our community to all join together and make a difference for our school. It takes months of hard work and hours of preparation for this one evening of fun-filled bidding that creates a lasting impact on our school. Attendance this year was sold out! Revenue before expenses came in over $199,000 with the all-important Fund-A-Need dollars raising $88,700, over the goal of $80,000. Fund-A-Need gifts support initiatives such as financial aid, technology and AV needs and will help to minimize our environmental impact with a commercial dishwasher and plates. Auction Co-chair Theresa Klimiuk said, "One of my favorite quotes from Michael Jordan sums up the collective nature of all who attended, contributed and donated to the 2020 auction, 'Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen.' We are so fortunate to have the Seabury community who makes it happen!" Amy Shumaker, auction co-chair, said, "It's been an honor and pleasure to have had the opportunity to co-chair the Seabury auction the last two years. Working on the auction has given me the chance to see just how enthusiastic and generous our Seabury family can be. I'm grateful the timing of our auction worked out so well. In this time of confusion and anxiety, it's good to look back on a fun, successful evening. Thank you to everyone who worked on and attended the auction." Under Construction Auction Supports Seabury A fun auction item, Ghostbusters at Retro Theatre with juniors Harrison Hartzler and Brenner Gollier. Faculty members Bill Gollier, Arnie Knudson and Christopher Bryan are so excited to move out of their trailer classrooms and into our new building!
