We are the only ones in this room. But we can see the action around us. A dapper lawyer sits at the bar, conversing with a long-legged, tanned woman. A boomer couple savors lunch in another dining room. We're all doing the social distancing thing as much as possible. On a subsequent visit, we chat with longtime chef Keith Sanderson, who takes pride in a "90 percent homemade kitchen." His focus is utilizing the freshest possible ingredients to create memorable dishes that bring back customers and their friends. e menu also has its sweet surprises – from an appetizer of pork rinds with boom-boom dipping sauce, to an entrée of a grilled tomahawk ribeye for two, to the unconventional dessert of a bourbon milkshake.
