"It's relaxing," said Lauryn Edmonds. She and her husband Mark have already
completed several projects at Cade's workshops.
Workshop attendees sign up online, where they select their projects ahead of time.
Projects range from wooden signs painted with inspirational sayings, to handy carry-
all boxes, and even to a working clock, like the one experienced craer Donna Dillard
recently completed. Available projects change with the seasons, though not all feature
holiday themes. By the time you arrive, Cade and Dees have everything ready for you.
"When I walked in, everything I needed was at my seat," said Susan Brady, who
had received a workshop gi certificate for her birthday. "It was such a fun process,
and I love looking at my finished project and knowing I created it."
e process begins with those hammers for distressing, then moves on through
sanding, choosing a stain and, if desired, a color wash. Handy stencils enable
