18 www.thejewelrybook.com s Meet Pam Levine, CEO, Brand Experience Specialist Pam Levine began her career as the first woman bench jeweler in the 18k workshop at Cartier, in New York. She went on to establish a jewelry studio to craft her ultra-modern designs sold to specialty retailers and museum shops nationwide. After years of success in that business, she was recruited to lead a team of jewelry and graphic designers and oversee product design, development and merchandising for Jacmel, one of the country's largest jewelry manufacturers and distributors. She developed branded collections for department stores, complete with marketing programs, displays, packaging, and graphics. Pam's innovative solutions transcended the usual silos in the industry. This work propelled a lifetime of studying the psychology underlying shopping behaviors, decision-making and the art of persuasion—especially how to stimulate people to purchase tiny, beautiful items, that were out of reach and stuck behind glass. Recognizing the lack of display design and innovation in the marketplace, Pam saw an untapped opportunity and started her visual merchandising and design practice. She quickly built a reputation for providing beautifully designed, sophisticated presentation systems to department stores and specialty retailers that effectively engaged customers and stimulated them to buy. Pam's distinctive display solutions applied the science of persuasion to product placement, signage, merchandised environments, use of space, light, color and dimension–silent sellers that trigger high-intensity engagement and desire. Building on the success of silent selling through visual merchandising, Levine Luxury Branding expanded into brand strategy, communications, advertising, packaging, social media, website design and digital media technology consulting. The practice evolved into a full-service boutique agency and continues today to facilitate customer engagement. The power of customer relationships has not changed, yet the multitude of ways to create and build them are ever evolving.
