Potted Plant Classes Artistic Arrangement Rules: 1. All entries in this division must be the work of the amateur exhibitor. 2. Vases of value should not be used. 3. Names and addresses should be on the bottom of containers. Neither the Fair Assoc. or the Benton County Master Gardeners will not be responsible for containers, arrangements or accessories. 4. Plant material may be fresh or dried (no silks). 5. Accessories are permitted. 6. A Best of Show award will be given for the arrangement judged "Most artistic" from classes 61 to 72. 7. Plant material used in designs may be purchased if desired. 8. Exhibitors are encouraged to refresh arrangements during the week if needed. 9. Exhibitors may enter only one (1) entry per class. 10. All entries are judged on overall presentation, quality of specimens and artistic technique. Placing & Points: Blue- 5 pts Red- 3 pts White- 1 pt. Artistic Arrangement Classes 61. Designer's Choice 67. Featuring Weathered Wood or other Outdoor Art (can be metal, cement, outdoor pot, stepping stone, gourds, rocks) 62. Featuring Roses 68. Framed Design – max 20" in height or width 63. Fresh Cut Materials (no flowers) 69. Dried Materials 64. Patriotic Theme – red, white and blue 70. Miniature Arrangements – not to exceed 5" in all directions 65. Creative or Contemporary 71. Small Design – not to exceed 8" in all directions 66. Old Fashioned Bouquet 72. Any Holiday Theme Flowers Youth Division Rules: 1. Exhibitors are youth up to 19 years of age. 2. All specimens entered must have been grown by the exhibitor. 3. All potted plants must have been cared for by the exhibitor for at least 3 months. 4. All potted plants must be exhibited in neat and clean containers size proportionate to the plant. 5. One entry per class by an exhibitor unless different varieties. 6. Artistic arrangements must be the work of the exhibitor. 7. Designs must be size proportionate container. 8. Name and address should be on bottom of containers. 9. A Junior High Point Exhibitor award will be given by the Benton County Master Gardeners to the Junior exhibitor with the greatest number of blue ribbons. (Red ribbons counted in case of a tie). 10. All entries are judged on overall presentation, quality of specimens and arrangement technique. 11. ALL JUNIOR EXHIBITORS are encouraged to enter ANY classification listed.
