• No exhibitor names will be changed on Nose-print cards. • Exhibitor will have to have shown in Market Lamb Show to be in showmanship competition and must show their animal to be considered for the contest. • Exhibitors must show their own animal unless they have two entries in market class, in such case, another Jr. Exhibitor participating in the same show may show one of them. • Entries for breeding sheep are due July 1, 2020. Any entry after July 1, 2020 WILL BE considered Late! Absolutely nothing will be accepted after July 10, 2020 for any reason! • A single exhibitor may have to share a pen. Partitions not provided. See general livestock rules • Animal can only be groomed/fitted by Exhibitor, Parent of Exhibitor, B.C. 4H Advisor or Benton County FFA Advisors or fellow B.C. Exhibitors. • No paint, powder or artificial coloring is allowed. • Absolutely no sheep weighing less than 80 lbs. will be allowed to stay at the fairgrounds, you will be told to take them home. • All clipping/grooming chutes MUST BE on the North half of the East side ONLY of the Livestock Barn. • Absolutely NO drenching of ANY KIND is allowed. • All animals will be inspected (without covers) INSIDE the trailer prior to entering the barn area. If any animals on the trailer are contagious the ENTIRE trailer will be sent home immediately! Market Lamb Classes Section 1 Classes: Class 1-Market Lambs, Class 2-Pairs, Class 3- Group of Five, Class 4- Showmanship • Wethers or ewe lambs may be shown. • Lambs must weigh at least 80 pounds and have lamb teeth. • Animals must be owned by the exhibitor by May 30. They will be nose printed on that date. • Exhibitors will be allowed to show only three market lambs, wethers or ewes. One of these three can be shown in the Commercial Ewe Show. Commercial Ewe class will be an extra entry fee • If the Market Lamb Grand or Reserve champion happens to be a Ewe it WILL NOT be allowed to show in the commercial Ewe show! Junior Breed / Commercial Ewe Classes Section 2 All animals must have registration certificates at time of fair check-in. NO pending registration will be accepted. Commercial Ewe classes will be the same as breed. Registered breeding sheep only, may be bedded on straw • Class #1 - Junior ram lamb (born on or after Jan. 1, 2020) • Class #2 - Senior ram lamb (born Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2019) • Class #3 - Yearling ram (born Jan. 1 to Aug. 31, 2019) • Class #4 - Aged ram (born before Jan. 2019) • Champion Ram Ribbon • Reserve Champion Ram Ribbon • Overall Champion Ram Ribbon • Class #5 - Junior ewe lamb (born on or after Jan. 1, 2020) • Class #6 - Senior ewe lamb (born Sept. 1, to Dec. 31, 2019) • Class #7 - Yearling ewe lamb (born Jan. 1, to Aug. 31, 2019) • Class #8 - Aged ewe (born before Jan. 2018) • Champion Ewe Ribbon • Reserve Champion Ewe Ribbon • Overall Champion Ewe Ribbon MARKET LAMB SHOWMANSHIP • JUNIORS: All exhibitors 9-11 years of age who have not won this class.
