Quilt Trail is being sponsored by donors and businesses so there is no cost to the quilters, artists and property owners for supplies, materials or installation. At a minimum, quilts must be four-feet by four-feet and at a maximum eight-feet by eight-feet. "It's our goal to involve students, artists and historians and pair them up with a land/business owner to learn their stories, listen to the history, dig deep into the archives to include as much of their story as possible in the design. Shapes, colors, materials will all come together to create something that will bring a splash of color to our countryside and landscape," said Wall. Quilt blocks may be selected from thousands of historic patterns or uniquely designed to represent the history of the location and family. Renee Carr, co-founder and state coordinator of Arkansas Quilt Trails said, "Benton County is the 24th county to begin developing their quilt trail as part of Arkansas Quilt Trails. Benton County organizers have planned and initiated the project in such an energetic and creative manner that it's particularly inspiring to all of us who love quilt trails. We anticipate some beautiful creations in Benton County in 2020!" For more information, assist organizers or join the effort, please visit https://bit.ly/2SRfgl7. This site includes a survey for participants to share ideas about possible locations for the quilt trail. Every effort is being made to include a diverse selection of communities throughout Benton County. #Bentoncountyquilttrail Benton County Quilt Trail Fair Exhibits will be accepted 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. August 1, 2 and 3rd, 2020 in the Exhibit Hall.
