Gamma epSilon 3 D espite being away from our chapter house at 500 Sunset, Gamma Epsilon Chapter has had a successful spring semester. Additionally, Gamma Epsilon thrived in the classroom last semester. In the fall, our chapter finished with a 3.32 overall GPA, placing us well above the 2.97 all-men's average on campus. Gamma Epsilon continued our success in intramural sports this years with high place finishes in football, soccer, volleyball, and several racquet sports. Our basketball team was undefeated before the rest of the season was unfortunately canceled. Our chapter strived to have intramural participants from all four Beta Theta Pi pledge classes. The amount of upperclassmen involvement helped catapult Gamma Epsilon to first place in intramurals for the year. In February, the executive team attended the Keystone Institute in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team strategized a plan for the year and brainstormed ideas on how to build upon the success of our chapter. Next year, our chapter has set goals to thrive in the classroom, stay involved on campus through intramurals, philanthropy, and community service, and continue to focus on being men of principle. While our chapter is unable to be on campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still enjoying virtual bonding through Zoom and Facetime. We have held chapter through Zoom and are trying to remain as connected as possible throughout this unprecedented time. Our recruitment chairmen, Carter Black '22 and Casey Lanoue '22, are still busy at work, as they are actively recruiting and currently have a new member class of 27 young men and counting for fall 2020. Overall, Gamma Epsilon has set a high standard throughout this academic year, despite challenging obstacles. We are looking forward to closing another successful spring semester. Fraternally, Josh Spradlin '22 Chapter President jsprad23@ksu.edu FINISHING STRONG Mother's Day Weekend was held at the Bluemont Hotel this year where we had a bingo and bowling event to celebrate all our moms. Mom Lonker is also celebrating her 30th year with Gamma Epsilon! GAMMA EPSILON CONTINUES TO THRIVE The Beta basketball team was 4-0 heading into the playoffs to cap off our first place intramural finish before the season was unfortunately canceled. The Beta volleyball team brought home the gold medal by defeating Theta Xi in the finals.
