Hair, Nails, and Pedicure Services SUMMER HOURS: TUES - FRI La Paz County Confi rms 23 Positive Cases May 5, 2020- La Paz County an- nounced two additional cases, bring- ingthe total to 23. These individuals have had direct, workplace contact, with the previous confi rmed cases. Of the 23 positive confi rmed cases in the county sixteen have fully re- covered. The health department is coordinating response efforts and offering guidance, in order to re- duce transmission among employ- ees. The process of interviewing close contacts of the individuals will continue, as well as recommending each person monitor for symptoms and quarantine themselves for 14 days, based on risk exposure. The County Health Department also reported an error in previ- ous reports of where these cases occurred. The error was that the last 14 cases were in the McMul- len Valley Service Area in eastern La Paz County. Health Department spokesperson Jenna McDaniel said they were actually in the Quartzsite Service Area, the area served by the Quartzsite Fire Department. This includes a large area of central La Paz County beyond the boundaries of the Town of Quartzsite itself. The Quartzsite Service District ex- tends east to the areas of Vicksburg and Hope, which are actually closer to Salome and Wenden than they are to Quartzsite. Please do your part and stay home when you are sick: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with un- washed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then immediately throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequent- ly touched objects and surfaces. Stay Home, Stay Healthy, Stay Con- nected! Please continue to practice physical distancing, while staying socially connected. HealthDepartment Prayers to all in our amazing community of Quartzsite. We have no date for a scheduled reopening. We are in communication with The Salvation Army (TSA) Headquar- ters and will follow CDC guidelines for when we do reopen. Our daily pause for prayer that I share each day on our Facebook pages and Quartzsite Chatter, I hope brings emotional comfort and peace to all. I do relay the appreciative comments to Captain Harryette O'Brien, that writes these uplifting biblical passages. Please remember that even though our Thrift Store is temporarily closed to shoppers and we cannot accept any donations, the Salvation Army Service Center is always reachable with a phone call for urgent as- sistance. Please don't hesitate to call. We have provided outreach help to many these past weeks. The word HELLO means: H= How are you? E= Everything all right? L= Like to hear from you. L= Love to see you soon! O= Obviously, I miss you… So, HELLO! We do miss our TSA friends. Be safe and careful. Be happy.
