I n 1941, Alpha Delta Pi initiated the founding class of Beta Psi, on the University of Kentucky's campus. Based on the legacy of these women, our chapter has initiated over 3,100 women into our sisterhood. While styles have changed and traditions have evolved, the fundamental values of Alpha Delta Pi like academic excellence, leadership, philanthropy, and service, continue to stand the test of time at the University of Kentucky. Whether you recall hearing stories of Beta Psi's founding from your grandmother, or you recently graduated, ADPi has been the place where many of us made our best college memories. We were surrounded by a group of leaders that enriched our lives and pushed us to become the best versions of ourselves. Since our chapter's beginning, we continue to pledge many of the University of Kentucky's finest young women into ADPi as is evident by the academic success, compassionate DEVELOPING STRONG WOMEN FOR NEARLY 80 YEARS 2 "Beta Psi, this chapter that warmly embraced an only child with dozens of new sisters; this "house on the corner" that gave this small-town gal both a safe haven and a launching pad on a sprawling university campus; this sorority that nurtured the bonds for valued lifelong friendships. This is a call to act on our commitment to "live for each other" to ensure that future generations of young women will make their own wonderful memories and find their own opportunities." – Land Geoghegan '74, Building Chair servant leadership, and treasured ability to support one another through every season of life. Beta Psi grows stronger every year in ways both quantifiable and immeasurable. With around 300 members, the chapter members demonstrate their academic acumen and leadership abilities through countless organizations on campus. e result has been ongoing recognition by ADPi internationally. Whether through generous philanthropic efforts or supportive, lifetime friendships, Beta Psi clearly embodies our open motto of "we live for each other." e core of our experiences as Alpha Delta Pi women can be traced back to that special place in the heart of campus – our home "on the corner" at 476 Rose Street. Whether you have memories playing bridge with your sisters, fighting over the phone closet, decorating Greek Sing props for an inevitable victory, or spending late nights with your sisters studying, the ADPi house has and will continue to provide a home where friendships are fostered for generations to come. e ADPi house has understandably aged, with only cosmetic changes since the two- story addition in the mid-1960s. Yet over the last five years, other sororities have realized major upgrades through renovation or newly built houses. e time is now for Beta Psi to have an updated, modern, and comfortable living environment. Your support is needed to ensure Beta Psi can remain the premier sorority at UK for the next 80 years.
