Many changes have been implemented internally following a new officer structure and closing of the Chapter House due to COVID-19 and externally across Cornell's Greek system. I am proud that our chapter has adapted and recognized the need for change. We also welcomed 36 new members during recruitment. We are excited to grow together and see their unique selves contribute to our chapter. Cherishing Lessons from Collegiate Leadership Conference In February, four officers and I attended the annual Collegiate Leadership Conference (CLC). We underwent extensive training to bring new knowledge back to Ithaca. Alpha Beta was one of the first chapters nationwide to adopt Tri Delta's new officer structure, which was an adventure that has brought us all together. I previously attended CLC when I was the vice president of finance. My second CLC experience allowed me to reflect on what Tri Delta has meant to me. All the presidents sat for a moment to realize we all probably were there together because someone reached out to us in our earlier years and saw potential in us or influenced us in a way that made us strive for something. Not all of us started off knowing that we wanted leadership, but opportunities can fall in our paths for us to learn and grow from. A recent Alpha Beta alumna drove me in an uplifting direction and I see similar, life-changing relationships and memories being made in our chapter today. Upperclasswomen Look to Make a Difference at Alpha Beta Following President Pollack's new implementations on Greek life, two upperclasswomen and I will live in the Chapter House next year. We are excited to see the representation and presence of three MCs living-in, and to see the difference it will make at Alpha Beta. A Virtual Philanthropic Vision Many of our fundraising events, such as Sincerely Yours and ChoppeDDD, were canceled due to COVID-19. We are working on exciting new ways to fundraise virtually, including moving Sincerely Yours online. We will have an online donation link set up soon, which we will be sure to share with everyone. We are proud to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. New Executive Committee Takes Charge Cornell has closed most of campus and encouraged students to return home, making classes virtual. The House Corporation decided to close the house for sisters' safety. The executive committee (new structure made of vice presidents) has been meeting over Zoom to prepare for next semester and complete our responsibilities locally. Not all of us had the chance to say goodbye to our seniors with change happening so suddenly, but we have been so lucky to be a part of their lives. Thank You, Alumnae I greatly appreciate the support we have received from you as loyal Alpha Beta alumnae. You all have contributed to make Alpha Beta the wonderful chapter it is today.
