This error was due to a residential modifi er that was removed. This re- moval affected the valuations in seven (7) La Paz county neighborhoods for 2021, creating incorrect valuations on some notices. Once I discov- ered this error, I immediately reached out the Staff at the Department of Revenue and to the La Paz County Assessor's Consultant. After much dis- cussion regarding our fi ndings, recommendations were made to send out new Amended Notices of Value for the tax year 2021 for the entire county. The Assessor's offi ce is currently conducting an internal investigation as to the cause and effect of this issue. In the weeks ahead, staff and I will be working diligently to rectify this matter. As per ARS 42-15101E we have 60 days from February 21, 2020 to rectify and mail out new notices. We will be mailing out the Amended Notices by April 21, 2020. Our apologies for any inconvenience that this might have caused. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 928-669-6155.
