A s brothers of Alpha Gamma Rho, we're used to setting high expectations for ourselves and each other. The goals we've set for Alpha Gamma are just as ambitious with construction on the horizon. Our construction documents have been revised by Brother Michael Puckett '85 and will be up for the university's approval. We expect to break ground in May. Whether you've stayed connected with the chapter since graduation or not, we all have a great opportunity to start anew with Alpha Gamma Rho in 2020. By supporting Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future: The Campaign for a New Chapter House you can show your appreciation for your Alpha Gamma Rho membership. Thanks to the 278 brothers, friends, and corporations who've already given to the campaign, we've beat the average Greek campaign participation rate at 25%. Alpha Gamma is not average— let's keep Alpha Gamma above the rest. CHALLENGE DEADLINE EXTENDED Brothers, each of us has the chance to start the new year as leaders of Alpha Gamma. We've raised $2,860,247 toward our $3.5 million campaign goal, but more leadership is needed. To get us to the finish line, we've extended our matching challenge deadline to May 15. To date, we've raised $86,914 in the challenge. Take this chance to double your impact by sending your gift to Alpha Gamma today. Your buy-in has the power to shape the next decade of our fraternity. Don't pass up this opportunity. The enclosed pledge form details how, in only a few steps, you can make a one-time gift or a multiyear pledge that fits your budget. You can also easily set up recurring payments through our online donation portals listed on page 2. By giving just dollars a day, you can make a huge impact on the future of our fraternity. Stick a stamp on that pledge form and cross giving to Alpha Gamma off your 2020 to-do list today. SHAPING THE FUTURE While it's a new decade, we're the same Alpha Gamma. Our standards are high. Our membership is driven. Our goals for 2020 are bold. It's crucial for our alumni and undergraduate brothers to be united as we work to build a better chapter house. You have the chance to set the standard for the future of Alpha Gamma. Will you choose to be a leader in the new year? Fraternally, W. Bernard Lester '58 Campaign Co-Chairman Edward Smoak '68 Campaign Co-Chairman Adam Putnam '92 Campaign Co-Chairman Dr. Jimmy G. Cheek '93 Honorary Campaign Chairman Join the challenge today! Every dollar counts. W hen Greg Hall '70 was recognized at Alpha Gamma's Founders' Day ceremony in January for his 50 years of membership, he started to think about how much of an impact Alpha Gamma Rho has had on his life. It was a very special moment for Greg, but it was also bittersweet. The whole member class of 1970 was honored, but Greg was the only brother from his class present. "I hope to see them next time," Greg said. "Although I didn't see them, my brothers are always on my mind." Having a sense of togetherness at Alpha Gamma is more important to Greg now than ever. Greg contributed to the Honoring Our Past, Building Our Future: The Campaign for a New Chapter House to show his dedication to Alpha Gamma, and he's calling upon his brothers to do the same. "The chapter needs a new house and it's our responsibility as alumni to provide for the active brothers," Greg said. "I had a place to stay and somebody did that for me, so I think I should do that for someone else. Alpha Gamma needs to stay on campus and be a top chapter."
