THE ZETA CHI PIKELINE 3 G reetings, alumni. Zeta Chi has worked diligently and with zealous energy, and I am excited to share these updates and details with all of you. NEW MEMBERS AND EXECUTIVE CHANGES is fall, we initiated 27 True Pikes into our beloved chapter. is new member class achieved a combined GPA of 2.99 and a retention rate of 71.1%. In November, Zeta Chi held our annual elections. e newly elected officers (including two fall initiates) have a strong passion for their position and all that follows. Over winter break, three members represented Zeta Chi at the annual Chapter Executives Conference. is spring, we initiated eight more members into our chapter—the first new member class ever to achieve 100% retention since the recolonization. EVENTS is past fall we held our annual Dads Day, with an all-time high in attendance for the full-day event. Moms Day 2019 later achieved the highest amount of fundraising in the event's history with a grand total of $3,227. Other recent events included Pikes Pulled Pork and the Pike and DZ Fish Fry, which we held with Delta Zeta. e latter event was meant to accommodate those celebrating the tradition of Lent. CAMPUS LEADERSHIP Two Zeta Chi brothers are now serving on the interfraternity council: James McCann '18 (vice president of academics) and Garrett Mason '17 (vice president of membership development). Brother Jacob Stork '18 has also received a seat on SGA. Lastly, Brother Nick Broom '18 is taking an executive position among the Dance Marathon Event. is event is a massive fundraiser that helps many families and children in need; all Zeta- Chi brothers have committed to help. ACADEMICS AND WORKSHOPS At the end of the fall semester, we had a chapter GPA of 3.05, active GPA of 3.08, and in-house GPA of 3.10 (which is an all- time high!). We have diligently served 1,687 community service hours to strengthen the place that we call home. Lastly, our members have continued our education outside the classroom by attending educational events aer school hours. We as a chapter attended and logged six educational events for the fall. Previous President Ethan Johnson '16 hosted an event on mental health, which helped us as a chapter become more aware of our brothers and how we can grow from our personal and shared struggles. MOVING FORWARD So far, this spring semester has been amazing and fruitful. I want you to know that through this pandemic, we have implemented a protocol that will maintain our members' involvement, continued academic growth, and promote a clean and healthy environment. We appreciate your support, and in return we will carry on the legacy of friendship, love, and truth that has been set before us. (Right) We placed first in Greek Week with Delta Zeta. We placed first in Yell like Hell with Sigma Kappa and Alpha Sigma Alpha.
