ALPHA-PHI ZETA OF LAMBDA CHI ALPHA AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA ALPHA-PHI ZETA IS IN GOOD HANDS WITH UNDERGRADUATE LEADERSHIP ALUMNI ADVISORY BOARD IN THE WORKS A lpha-Phi Zeta is working hard to reach elite Chapter status on campus and among ΛXA chapters across the country. We have made great strides thanks to the generosity of our alumni, our volunteers and our House Corporation over the past 15 years. As mentioned below, we are forming an Alumni Advisory Board to assist the undergraduate Chapter. Supporting Student Health Mental Health Resources and Education among Top Campus Priorities C ollege is one of the most transformative experiences of our lives. Moving away from home, becoming independent, navigating campus—it's overwhelming. With the stress of juggling academics, work, and social lives, today's students need more mental health support than previous generations. The Facts Stress, anxiety, and depression are on the rise. According to College of the Overwhelmed: e Campus Mental Health Crisis and What to Do About It, 76% of college students report feeling overwhelmed. Active Minds, an organization dedicated to changing the conversation about mental health, notes that 1 in 5 adults have a mental illness. Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among students. While these statistics can be shocking, college campuses are making mental health resources and education a top priority. Creating Campus Resources Across the nation at universities like the University of Michigan, IFC and Panhellenic chapters are establishing mental health officer positions to support their brothers and sisters.
