Honoring Our Past
F
rom our founding on October 3, 1948, to today, Alpha Sigma Chapter of
Theta Xi has a storied tradition and proud history. With more than 988
initiates, our chapter has influenced the lives of numerous men, cultivating
lasting friendships and lifelong memories. Many of our best college experiences
can be traced back to our Theta Xi experience at Bradley University.
While many of our alumni have gone on to successful and distinguished
careers in business, engineering, technology, and countless other endeavors,
the common bond of our brotherhood remains, along with our shared principles
and values. For more than 70 years, Theta Xi has taught the importance of
responsibility, integrity, leadership and academic achievement. Oftentimes,
these traits have been integral to our personal success and helped make us the
men we are today.
Members of our collegiate chapter are the heart of our fraternity. Today, they
face rising costs of tuition, textbooks and other college-related expenses that
have the potential to restrict their ability to participate in organizations like
Theta Xi. This is due to financial capability and time restrictions with almost
every brother needing to take on one or more part-time jobs. If we wish for
Alpha Sigma Chapter to continue its strong presence on campus, we must
ensure that qualified members feel secure in their financial future by providing
merit-based scholarships in conjunction with a competitive living environment.
While there may be some differences in today's chapter compared to the one
you knew, Alpha Sigma Chapter alumni can be proud of how brothers today are
building upon the past to secure the future of Theta Xi at Bradley University.
