The 233,000+ square foot facility has the only pediatric emergency room in Northwest Arkansas. The Arkansas Children's Research Institute in Springdale has been instrumental in oral immunotherapy for food allergies in children. The addition added 279,000 square feet and 70 new patient beds, with additional patient beds being added later.
