Town Hall will not be open this Friday, March 20, 2020. Beginning next week, Mon- day, March 23, 2020, Town Hall will be on a four-day work week, closed on Fridays and open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. • The Salvation Army is closing their store temporarily. We can use all the help we can get with vol- unteers and donations to help get through this time." • Quartzsite Senior Center remains open and on regular schedule. • Quartzsite Metal Detecting Club is cancelling their coin hunt and end- of-season party planned for Satur- day, March 21st. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but want to see ev- eryone in the fall. • AWC: In an effort to take precau- tions against the Coronavirus (CO- VID-19), Arizona Western College (AWC) will cancel classes on Mon- day, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, and then transition from in-per- son classes to online delivery wher- ever possible starting Wednesday, March 18. • Town of Parker announced the library will be closed to the public. The Senior Center will also be closed to the public. They should continue to cook and deliver the meals as usu- al. There should be no meals served in the Center. People can pick up meals to go, if it is available. As far as Town Hall, business will be done as normal as possible. Public Works will continue doing their job as nor- mal. The Town of Parker will sill not be planning any events (Eggstrava- ganza, Healthy La Paz or any fund- raisers) until further notice. These precautions are being put in place for the safety of most. • APS is working with customers during this crisis.
